Constant pursuit of **Excellence** **People**-centered culture  **Innovation** Driven  Empower **Collaboration** --- # **Our Story** ###### Back in 2017, our founder Julia had spent years as a nearshore developer for major US corporations when she spotted a gap: incredible Latin American talent was out there, but companies struggled to find and integrate them effectively. ###### She gathered our key team members around one core belief—that exceptional talent combined with genuine cultural alignment creates something powerful. We don't just place people or develop products; we build lasting partnerships. ###### Eight years later, we've deployed 200+ engineers across 50+ projects, with many of our professionals working alongside the same clients for over five years. That retention rate isn't luck—it's what happens when you focus on speed, precision, and actually caring for the people who make your clients successful. ###### The result? Long-lasting strategic partnerships and some of the highest retention rates in the market. We get it because we've lived it. ![Paco and friends](https://www.southgeeks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Paco%20and%20friends.png?width=260&height=464&name=Paco%20and%20friends.png) # **Our Leadership Team** [Barbara Macherett](https://www.southgeeks.com/our-leadership?hsLang=en#Barbie) ![Barbie V1](https://www.southgeeks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Barbie%20V1.png?width=800&height=800&name=Barbie%20V1.png) Barbara Macherett COO [Clemente Scarpiello](https://www.southgeeks.com/our-leadership?hsLang=en#Clemen) ![Clemen](https://www.southgeeks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Clemen-1.png?width=512&height=512&name=Clemen-1.png) Clemente Scarpiello People Operations Specialist [Hernan Morris](https://www.southgeeks.com/our-leadership?hsLang=en#Morris) ![Morris](https://www.southgeeks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Morris.png?width=800&height=800&name=Morris.png) Hernan Morris Finance & Admin Manager [Julia Duran](https://www.southgeeks.com/our-leadership?hsLang=en#Julia) ![Julia](https://www.southgeeks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Julia.png?width=1024&height=1024&name=Julia.png) Julia Duran CEO [Sergio Barbieri](https://www.southgeeks.com/our-leadership?hsLang=en#Sergi) ![Sergi V1](https://www.southgeeks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Sergi%20V1.png?width=800&height=800&name=Sergi%20V1.png) Sergio Barbieri Engagement Manager [Valeria Martinez](https://www.southgeeks.com/our-leadership?hsLang=en#Vale) ![Vale](https://www.southgeeks.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Vale.png?width=512&height=512&name=Vale.png) Valeria Martinez Tech Recruiter ## Join our team Come work with a team that's passionate about people, technology, and making things happen.
